WINTER TRAINING 2023
When: 8th January to 12th March 2023 (inclusive)

Kent Mariners Baseball Club are delighted to announce that our annual Winter Training programme will commence on Sunday 8th January 2023 at the Aylesford School.

The aim of the Winter Training programme is to take everyone back to the beginning, back to the fundamental skills of the game and, over 10 weeks develop and reinforce those skills, preparing everyone for the return of outdoor baseball, Spring Training in March, and the start of competitive BBF baseball in April.

Given their back to basics nature these sessions are ideal for anyone new to the sport and the perfect starting point for getting into the game, providing a valuable introduction to the skills needed to be an effective ball player. For more experienced players, having been thoroughly rested since the end of the playing season in September, it’s the opportunity to go back to the beginning, re-visit mechanics and techniques, reinvigorate that muscle memory and get back into baseball shape.

Above all the Winter Training programme is the first opportunity in a new year to get together with teammates and friends, focus and train hard, work up a sweat and have fun playing the sport we all love. 2023 promises to be an exciting year for Kent Mariners Baseball Club and Winter Training is where it all starts! See you there! #ahoy!

Notes:
We ask that everyone confirm their attendance, otherwise by midnight on Friday so that the Head Coach can adequately prepare for the session.

The sessions are scheduled to start at 6:00pm sharp, and given the limited time we have available we ask that everyone arrives at about 5:45pm to help setup if possible, and to best ensure that we start promptly.
